Little boys are so much fun!

I love that I have a little mini-me that I can be a total dork with...we sat and took almost 30 pictures the other night and this was my favorite! :)

30 down...19 to go!

I decided to finally get off my lazy @SS and joined the gym back in January and thanks to the dedication I get from my Dad, I finally hit my first goal of losing 30 lbs.  I feel so good and feel like "me" again.  I am so embarassed at how much I let myself go, but I am finally on the right path and it feels SO good.  I am now 19 lbs away from what I weighed before I got pregnant.  Honestly though the number on the scale doesn't matter as how much better I feel about myself.  I never wanted to be a fat mom and I had found myself being the mom who would let her kid sit in front of the TV because I was too tired and didn't have any energy to go for a walk, take him to the park, or just be outside.  PATHETIC!  Anyway, all of that is history and I can't wait to reach my next goal!

Cousins :)

My niece Sarah and I have always been close but we definitely have had an even more special bond since we had our kids.  Gavin & Lily were born just under 1 month apart.  It was so fun being able to be pregnant at the same time and then to watch our kids grow up together!  I just wish we lived closer so we could get together more often.

Mother's Day

Spent most of the day outside doing yard work and planting flowers with my little helper.  We went to Lowe's this morning and he helped me pick out flowers for my present.  Gavin LOVES being outside so we are definitely looking forward to the weather continuing to warm up!
Look at the ugly bark in this before picture...
And after!  What a difference new bark makes.  Our yard looks so pretty now!
My favorite spot in our backyard.  Has my angel that Gavin got me for my birthday :)
I caved and bought this water table for him.  It was pretty cold later today and he played with it for a good hour.  I can only imagine how much fun it'll be when it warms up!

Bloomsday 2011

Matt and I went to Spokane this last weekend for Bloomsday (a 12K/7.46 mile road race).  This is about the 8th year that we have done it.  We left Gavin with Grandma and made a mini rendezvous out of it!  My personal best time for Bloomsday was back in 2006 and my time was 1hr 32 minutes.  The last few years it's progressively worsened to over 2 hrs.  This year though, I was about 30 lbs lighter than last year and beat my time by 8 minutes and got 1 hr 55 minutes.  The only mile I was able to run without stopping was the first one thanks to adrenaline, then we just walked/jogged the rest of it.
Stopped by the river for a picture after we picked up our race packets.
Over 50,000 people do Bloomsday each year, such a cool thing to see!
In our finishers t-shirts.
Thumbs up...I am such a nerd!
