My friend Jonna came over last night and we went to Columbia Park and took some family pictures and then some of just me and my belly. I won't get all the pictures back for awhile, but she let me sneak a peek at a few of them and I loved this one and wanted to share it.

I have a date!
I had my weekly appointment today and I am scheduled to be induced on September 8th at noon - which is 1 week from this Monday - unless of course Gavin decides to arrive on his own before that. My last day of work will be next Friday - I can't believe how fast this has gone by! It's crazy to think we are only 12 days away from finally meeting our little guy.
Here are some ultrasound pictures from today - he is getting so squished up in my tummy!

Pictures!
Little sign that says "My Crib Rocks!" from Grandpa Ed.
Clothes, clothes and more clothes!
Diaper bag - loaded & ready to go!
The bassinet in our bedroom that he will be sleeping in for awhile.
Baby swing.
I think I have plenty of lotions/shampoos/body washes to last for awhile!
Baby bathtub - how fun!
I decided to be brave and finally post a bare belly picture since I am officially "full term" now at 37 weeks!

36 weeks update...
I had my weekly appointment today and I have quite the update! The ultrasound I have every week is a biophysical profile and it mostly looks at how he is doing with his "practice breathing" - and today he was just moving all around and "breathing" a lot. Dr. Smith was actually pretty impressed with how "advanced" he seems to be! My blood pressure has gone down since being on the medication, but in the last couple of weeks, it has slowly started to rise again, not too where it's dangerously high but it still has gone up. Because of this, they would like to induce me when I am 38 weeks along because women with high blood pressure during pregnancy have an increased risk of developing preeclampsia, especially in weeks 39 & 40 (which is basically bad news and can be harmful to not only Gavin but to me as well). To sum it up - they would rather induce me and let me have him early as long as they feel like he is "fully cooked", than for me to wait and go longer and possibly develop preeclampsia - basically it's better to be safe than sorry. I have another appointment next week with my main Doctor and we will decide for sure then, but it looks like Gavin might be arriving around the first week of September!

My Baby Shower
My baby shower was on August 9th - it was so much fun and so great to see everyone. I was so overwhelmed with all of the amazing gifts I received - Gavin is definitely going to be one wanted and loved little boy! Here are some pictures...

Quick update...
I had my weekly ultrasound and non-stress test today. Everything looked great and Gavin is still progressing normally and is right on track for where he should be. The non-stress test took a little longer than usual today - he was being a lazy baby and didn't want to move around and his heart rate was low...probably because he was sleeping! So they had me drink some water and finally towards the end he started to move around and his heart rate went up. Next week during the ultrasound they will try and get another estimate on his weight and length...or in my Doctor's words "How chunky baby is!" ~ at this point, he should be at least 5 lbs so I'm anxious to see how big they think he is! Only 5 weeks until my due date! I am getting so anxious!
Be sure to check back after the weekend because I'm sure I will post some pictures from my baby shower!
