Sarah's Baby Shower

As most of you know, my niece Sarah is also pregnant. She is due 6 weeks before me with a little girl, Liliana. Sarah had her baby shower this last weekend so here are a few pictures!

28 Week Update

I had my 28 week doctor's appointment on Wednesday - it went well for the most part. Good news is I passed the glucose tolerance test that tests for gestational diabetes, my score was perfect so that is good! However, my blood pressure has been higher than they'd like at all of my appointments so they had me start tracking it at home. I took my results in to my appointment today and my Doctor said it was just high enough that he wanted to do something about it. So I'm going to start taking some blood pressure medication to see if that will help lower it.

Gavin's heart rate was 132 beats per minute, it's amazing how loud and clear it is now! My stomach is measuring a little big, I told the Doctor that must be because Matt was 9 lbs and 23 inches long! Lucky me! Because of measuring a little big and my high blood pressure, the Doctor wants me to have another ultrasound just to make sure everything is fine. My next appointment is in 3 weeks on July 16th - I'm not excited for the reasons I'm needing to have another ultrasound, but I am very excited to be able to see what Gavin looks like now that 11 weeks have passed since my last ultrasound! I am very excited to see if they still think "he" is a "he" - hopefully they will get a clear shot this time around so I will know for sure!

Overall everything appears to be just fine - as long as I can get my blood pressure lowered, I should be able to keep on cooking this little guy in my stomach for another 12 weeks! I can't believe how fast it has gone!
