What Gavin has been doing...

Cheered the Seahawks on all season long...
Developed a new love for basketball games with Papa Ed!
Went to the Playground of Deams...
Hung out with my cousin Lily!
Went and visited Grandma Rhonda at her work.
Rocked out to music with my awesome shades!
Overall I spend most of my time just being CUTE!

2 1/2

Gavin is now 2 1/2 - in 6 months he will be 3!  That just seems so crazy to think my little baby boy will be 3 on his next birthday.  He is growing up WAY TOO FAST!  I haven't done a milestones update in awhile so here it goes...

At 2 1/2 - Gavin Eugene is...

*Around 30-32lbs, not sure since he hasn't been officially weighed since his 2 year check up.
*Over 3 feet tall
*I can't even list the words he is saying - he is so advanced in his speech! You can pretty much carry on a conversation with him about anything.  He forms sentences all the time...sometimes I forget that he is still only 2 1/2!  He can repeat almost anything (which is good and bad...I really need to watch my mouth sometimes!)
*Loves to eat - I can already tell we are going to go broke when he gets close to his teenage years.  He eats 3 big meals a day and is constantly snacking in between each meal.
*Still takes one nap a day, sometimes we have a day where he won't nap at all but he will usually take at least an hour nap, if not two hours.
*Goes to bed between 7:30-8:30, depending on if he napped earlier in the day or not.  Sleeps through the night but still is my early riser, gets up between 5:30-6:30 most days.  Every once in awhile we get lucky and he'll sleep in until 7, but not very often.
*He still has never tried to climb out of his crib...so for now, he is still sleeping in it!  Eventually we will convert it to a toddler bed but I figure it's not worth the fight until the crib isn't working.
*Loves to sing - his favorite right now is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, along with theme songs from some of his favorite shows, he is always humming along or talking.  Never a silent moment from him!
*Can count 1-5 consistently and sometimes can go higher but usually skips a few in between.  "one...two...three...four...five....eight...nine....seven!" - and we are slowly working on the alphabet.  Every once in awhile he will say A-E but usually gets confused and starts saying numbers after that.
*Haven't officially started potty training.  He is getting so close to being "ready", but just isn't quite there yet.  Or maybe I'm not ready for my "baby" to be out of diapers.  Not sure which one it is... :)
*Says "I love you" to me and Daddy all the time
*Very very strong willed little boy.  When he wants something he sure tries everything in his power to get it.  Doesn't give up easily or without a good fight!  Definitely stubborn, no clue where he gets that from!  Ha!

Christmas 2010

Another Christmas has come and gone and each year they get more exciting!  One of the million things I love about being a mom, is being able to be a kid all over again.  It's so fun being able to see the magic of Christmas through his little eyes.  He can't stop talking about Santa Claus and the reindeer and is pretty sad we took the tree down already.  He definitely understood Christmas more this year and I can't wait for next year!  Here are a few pictures of his Chritmas haul...this probably only shows about half of everything he got...definitely a spoiled little boy!
He got some candy...
Some rain boots...
 A book...
A Toy Story game...
A Seahawks helmet...
A Buzz Lightyear costume (he was mad I made him stop "flying" for a picture)
A Memory Match game, that we've already played about 400 times :)
Bullseye, Woody & Jessie from Toy Story

Santa Claus

We took Gavin to see Santa for the first time. I was pretty worried he would be too scared and not sit with him but to my surprise, he was so excited while we were in line and when it was our turn, walked right up to him and got in his lap. As you can see from the pictures below, he had the whole "deer in headlights" look, he wasn't totally sure what to think once he got up there but he sure had fun and when Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas, Gavin said "I want Woody!" - from Toy Story. It was so cute! He also got to see some of Santa's Reindeer on our way out.
